Ars Choralis presents Brahms’ masterful Ein deutsches Requiem (A German Requiem) presented with Brahms’ arrangement for piano four hands. After major performances with orchestra of this work which had already captured the hearts of listeners and critics alike, the composer reverted to his original concept of the piece, written for piano-four hands in 1866, to perform his masterpiece in London in 1871. This version is not a simple reduction of the full score but a fresh, pianistic reworking of the entire piece which creates a new and unique listening experience.
